So I visited Downtown Orlando for the MexOne Tribute at the Social. While there, I got a chance to watch breakdancing, beatboxing, and hip hop performances. Wordworth also showed up and performed. It definitely was a good night and the Ozone was in full effect.
On the morning of June 12th, I received a Facebook notification to mark myself safe. Safe? Why, I asked. According to FB, there was a terrorist attack in Orlando. That can’t be right. This is Orlando we’re talking about. That kind of stuff can’t happen here. But as I began to watch the news and check my social media accounts, it was true. Orlando was struck by tragedy.
It feels great to be home. After kicking freestyles in various cities throughout the country, I return home to kick my newest freestyle. I thought for July, it was appropriate to drop a rhyme right here in Orlando…and that’s exactly what I did. Check it out and let me know what you think!
2012 was quite the year, wasn’t it? From a crazy political season and Olympic fever to “YOLO” and “Gangnam Style” mania, we had a share of highlights. We saw binders full of women, KONY, and the release of the iPhone 5. We also witnessed several dramatic events including Hurricane Sandy, the loss of Whitney Houston, and several mass shootings in the U.S. too. What a year it’s been.
Instead of revisiting everything in the news, I wanna take some time out and look back at the year I had (and what a year it’s been). It was a year full of highs and lows, good times and bad times, and some surprises too. Both personally and professionally, I had my share of events. So here it is everyone, my 2012 Year-In-Review.
