Ah yes, exciting times are upon us. Whether it was the craziness of last month or the eventfulness of this month, there’s a lot of things going on. And when I look back at it, I can’t help but say wow…
What is UP my peoples! Welcome one and all to the Ajaxxx.com August 2014 Opinions Column. This is the sole spot on planet earth where you can dig deep within my brainal (because that’s a word) cavities to find out what is going on. For those that’re new to the site, WELCOME and glad to have you aboard! For those that’re returning, welcome also…and you know the drills! With that said, let’s talk about EXCITING TIMES!
So first of all, let me start by saying THANK YOU to my amazing friends and family for last month. I celebrated my birthday a few weeks ago and my friends n fam came through to make it a memorable time. Whether it was going out to dinner and eating wayyy too much, hitting the club, or cutting a cake, I had a blast. Combine that with a super-fun trip to Miami, and my birthday month was extra dope. The only part that sucks is it’s over lol.
Looking ahead, there are many more exciting things on the horizon. Like what, Jaxxx? Well, I’m glad you asked.
I’ll be releasing my next song this month! That’s right, I’ll be following up “One of a Kind” with my latest song “Broken Dreams.” I’ve worked hard on this song for awhile now, and it’s finally the time to release it to the masses. I’m extremely excited about this song for a number of reasons. When I started making music, I did it because I wanted to recreate the feeling that music gave me. I wanted to share that feeling you get when a song really moves you. That’s what “Broken Dreams” is about. It’s an emotional, extremely personal song where I really open up. It’s very different from the last single and the direction I ultimately wanna go. So yes, the single’s on the way!
In addition, I’ll be shooting a new video to accompany the single. This one is also gonna be a big production. I’m working with a new team on this one, and I’ll also be shooting right here in Orlando (which I’m excited about). I can’t give away too much just yet, but it’s going to be a good one. Can’t wait!
Another exciting thing coming up is my European trip. Yup, I’ll be leaving for Switzerland towards the end of the month! Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat!!!!!!!!!! While I’m there, I’m going to link up with a bunch of my UK peoples. I’ll also visit a few other locations throughout Europe where I’ll be doing my freestyle videos. I’m super excited yet also stressing about all the packing that lies ahead haha. But I mean, between the places I see and people I meet, I know this is going to be one of those life-altering trips that I’ll take with me forever. Again…can’t wait!
There’s a few other big things coming up, but I don’t wanna bore you to death. Lol I’ll share when the time is ready…
Before I go, let’s talk movies! I must share with you my thoughts on Marvel’s latest movie “Guardians of the Galaxy.” I had been keeping up with updates for this movie for awhile now, and the hype was crazy when I saw it. Did it live up to expectations? I’d say yes! While it wasn’t better than Avengers, it was a super entertaining movie that really made me laugh. Combined with the action sequences, character development, and overall emotion, I’d say it was a perfect blend of everything. I especially enjoyed the 80’s references too. I’m telling you, Marvel was taking a big gamble on this movie but it really paid off. This has been a superb summer for movies.
And I think that’ll do it for this edition of the Opinions Column. I didn’t wanna ramble on for too long…I felt I didn’t enough of that in last month’s Opinions Column haha.
