“Around the world with a catalog of rap songs…”

– Mos Def on “Travellin’ Man

I think everyone should travel at least once by themselves in his or her lifetime. The feeling is exhilarating. While it can be frigthtening, especially in a place so different from home, the experience is like nothing else. You see amazing things and meet great people. And best of all, you learn so much about yourself in the process. I’ve learned just how independent and self-sufficient I am throughout my Europe trip and it’s really opened my eyes. So yes, I’m feeling so international today.

What is up my people??? Welcome one, welcome all, welcome errbody to the November 2014 Opinions Column. Damn, November already, huh? Can’t believe Thanksgiving is right around the corner. For those that’re new to the site, this is the place where I talk about whatever’s on my mind. For those that’re returning, you know the drills. I won’t keep this post TOO lengthy (as it’s been in the previous months) because I’m over here in Switzerland, but I’ll just give you the update about what’s up.

So this past month, I’ve jumped around Europe even more. I went to Geneva, the Swiss Alps, and London. Can I just tell you, I’ve seen some of the most amazing, unreal, incredible sights you’ll ever see? Like some of the things I’ve seen don’t even look real; they look like paintings. I look at the mountains like yo, are you really seeing this? It’s such a great experience to see these things. I’m extremely lucky and extremely blessed to have these opportunities, I’m telling you. Like yo, some people dream of visiting these places their whole life and here I am seeing new places every weekend. It’s krazyyyyyyyyyyy.

While Geneva was just ok to me, I traveled to Chateau de Chillon in Montreux, Switzerland which was incredible. It’s an old-school castle that’s everything you’d imagine it to be. While I was in there, I was reminded of my youth. I felt like a kid looking at all the medieval stuff like knights’ armors, royal courtyards, and secret passageways. I’m telling you, if you ever get a chance to visit this place, GO! I was supposed to spend like two hours there (this is what I told myself) but ended up spending practically the whole day lol. And don’t get me started at the views if you look out the castle window. Mannnnnnnnnnn!

All in all, I’ve been having an amazing time in Switzerland (and Europe). I’m nearing the end of my trip and I can see it in the distance. While I’m sad to leave, I’m also excited to return back to “normal.” I miss my family and friends. I’d like to get back to music, to recording, and to these music videos. I really have a lot planned for the upcoming year and I wanna see those things manifest.

And with that said, I’m outta here! Check out more pics from my trip below:

Stay up, stay safe, and hold ya head! Ajaxxx signin out, PEACEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
