Ever feel like you’re right about to experience an important moment? Or maybe you’ve felt like you’re right about to embark on a meaningful journey? I typically don’t feel like that but lately that’s what I’ve been feeling. It’s nerve-wrecking and exciting simultaneously. While I’m not there yet, I feel like exciting things are right on the horizon…
Whatup everyone? What’s going on? I feel like it’s been forever since I’ve written one of these. I’ve been a bit under the weather the last few days which is why this is coming a bit late. But yes, welcome to the Ajaxxx.com February 2015 Opinions Column (still getting used to the whole 2015 thing). For those that’re new to the site, this is the spot where I tell you what’s been going on with me, the previous month, and anything else I feel is share-worthy. For those returning, welcome back and thanks for joining me. With that said and done, let’s talk ’bout what’s so exciting.
Well, it looks like I’ll get back into the mic booth next month. It’s been a quiet time in my music life, and I realize it. Yes I was pretty active on the video front last year, but as far as releasing new music – whether singles or freestyles – I haven’t dropped much of anything recently. It pains me to say that, and I think about it often. How can one so full of lyrics be forced to contain them? It’s hard to do, especially as time goes on. But yeah, I’ve got a plan in the works (and the ball’s rolling) for it to happen. I’m excited!
In addition to the recording, if I can get back in the booth then I can FINALLY finish this new album of mine. Believe me, if I get back in the booth that’ll be my #1 goal! I was looking at the tracklist the other night and there are some songs I’ve been sitting on for more than a year. This is also something that pains me lol. But I mean, I told myself last year (and mentioned it in the 2014 Year in Review) that finishing “Something to Prove” was of extreme importance this year. So that’s what I’ma be on for 2015.
On the video front, although I can’t say there’s something new coming out right away, I will say I’m working on it. I have a couple of upcoming trips where I’ll be out of town again, but after that I’ll be back in effect where I can start releasing videos. I’ve got so many cool ideas in my head and I’m really looking forward to share them with the world. The videos will take more time though because I’m such a perfectionist (as I’m sure you might’ve noticed). But yea, they’re on the way!
So between new music, the new album, and new videos, expect a lot of new things for me on the horizon. I will caution it though and say, I’ve said this before and life tends to surprise me lol. But I mean, let’s start with new music and go from there.
