While some of my other Opinion Columns take on a different format, I’ll just keep this one simple. I got new music equipmenttttt!
Before we get into that though, WELCOME! This is the Ajaxxx.com September 2016 Opinions Column. For those that’re new to the site, this is the place on planet earth where you can find out what’s going on with Ajaxxx. For those returning, welcome back…you already know the deals. I typically post these towards the beginning of the month so this post is coming extra late…but I wanted to wait til I had exciting news to share. So yes, let’s talk about this new equipment.
So I’ll be the first to admit that I haven’t been putting out as much music as I used to do. I mean, from multiple mixtapes to Music Mondays to monthly freestyles throughout the world, I’ve had several runs where I put out mad music at a time. And by the way, that’s a lot of M’s. However, I’ve gotten away from it due to several events going on in life. Anyway, I’m happy to report that I finally got myself new equipment this past month and my recording set up is back up and running.
I don’t know what it is, but I just got tired of waiting for something to happen. I knew I had to push myself – yes, one of those things I said I’d remind myself of in the July 2016 Opinions Column: 10 Tips for Inspiration. Life passes you by so fast that it’s unreal. I remember when I was in high school and how I thought time went by so slow. Fast forward to college, and it completely flew by. I’m not sure what it is, but it seems like time moves faster the older we get. These were all things I kept telling myself when I decided to make some recent changes.
In addition to new equipment, I’ve also begun taking some training classes in audio skills. I’m going to start with audio stuff, and then branch out to video and photography too. Another thing I mentioned in the July 2016 Opinions Column was the importance of bettering yourself. So I mean, here I am, doing just that. Seriously, I need to print out that post and put it on my wall haha. Which reminds me, you should really read it if you haven’t yet. The link is here.
So expect more from me now. Expect new songs, new freestyles, and even new videos. I’m recharged, re-energized, and excited for what the future holds. I still have a goal of releasing at least one music video this year, with several freestyle videos too.
