“I was thinkin’ chess moves but it was God’s grace”
– Nipsey Hussle on DJ Khaled’s “Higher“
It’s easy to waver, change up, and even lose sight of why you’re going in the direction you’re going in. Life is full of distractions that will pull you in a lot of different ways. So how do you handle it? Do you give in to those outside forces? Or do you trust the plan you set out for yourself? In my opinion, you take that plan…and you trust it.
What is up my peoples? Welcome to the extremely late June 2019 Opinions Column lol. Man, life has been so busy lately! For those that’re returning, welcome back! And for those that’re new to the site, this is where I talk about whatever’s going on within my head. This month, I wanna talk about trusting in something and why it’s so important. Sooo, here we go.
As I mentioned, it’s easy to get pulled away and not stick to the plan that you *hopefully* set out for yourself. Life is full of surprises, c’mon. What’s key here is what you do when life presents surprises to you. Do you cave to the pressures? Or do you remind yourself that the road you’re on will not be a straight path and that you need to keep pushing forward? The former can be easier, but the latter is more important. It takes resiliency and determination to resist what happens externally, and focus. If you can get that down, and continue to work at it, you’ll be in good shape.
I’ve talked about it before, but there are methods that you can also use to help you stay on track. Whether it’s taking time out of your day everyday to concentrate and focus, or pressing the reset button every now and then, do what you gotta do. I’d also encourage you to take breaks and get away from it all for awhile. I also found that unplugging from everything digital is refreshing, especially when it takes up so much of our lives nowadays. I mean, something simple like reading a book can be extremely fulfilling.
In the end though, you gotta trust it. You gotta really believe in your plan. If you aren’t gonna believe in it…like TRULY believe in it…you’re gonna have a hard time convincing others to get on board. But if you do trust it, and execute towards it, amazing things will happen. Trust that!
And with that said, I’ma be out y’all. It’s a busy month ahead of me and I gotta prepare for it.
Until next time, folks. Stay up, stay safe, and hold ya head. Ajaxxx signing out, PEACEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
