“Say it’s all uncomfortable when you transition (let’s go)/But it’s all beautiful when you get rich in it (don’t stop)”
– Nipsey Hussle feat. Puff Daddy

They say the only constant in life is change. The older I get, the more I understand it. Life has been changing more and more than ever before, especially in the last few years. And here we are again, with yet another transition in life. It’s not always easy, especially when you don’t know what to expect. But you gotta keep faith and trust. So this month, let’s talk about how it’s transition time.

First of all though, welcome! Welcome to the September 2019 Opinions Column. For those that are new to the site, this is the place where I talk about whatever is on my mind. For those returning, you already know the drills…welcome back! I’m busier than busy lately, so let’s talk about it!

So yeah, whenever you take on anything really new…whether it’s a new career, relationship, or whatever else…there’s a transition period that may come with it. Whereas sometimes this may be easy, other times it requires a great deal of work and effort. Welll, that’s what I’m experiencing right now. I don’t wanna give away too many details about what I’m working on (yet), but let’s just say I’ve been super busy the last few weeks. Want a clue though? Listen to the following acapella video I did and let me know if you get any ideas.

Whenever you try to build something up, it requires patience, hard work, and time. I’ve been putting all of those things towards the newness that I’m working on, but it’s not easy. It requires a lot of learning, and a lot of support from friends and family too. But at the end, it falls on me to make it happen. Is there pressure? Sure there is. But if you trust, have confidence, and put in the work, you should feel really good about things…especially in the face of change.

I’ve talked at length about change in the past, and it seems that there’s been a lot of it lately. I’m not gonna lie, it can feel really daunting (if you let it). The key is to BELIEVE. That’s not to say it’s easy…but it absolutely helps. Whether getting married or having a child, I’ve learned to take on new things and develop myself as well. And here I go again, with another new chapter in my life.

So how do you deal with transitions in life?

It’s been a blur lately, but I’m not done yet. Let me get back to work now. Until next month y’all (where I’ll hopefully have even more updates), stay up, stay safe, and hold ya head. Ajaxxx signing out, PEACEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
