2019, what a year you’ve been. It feels like just a blur, but there’s been a TON of things that have shaped this year. From Canada winning its first NBA championship, to droves of people marching for climate change, to the Avengers becoming the highest grossing film of all time, it’s been super eventful. We saw a black hole get photographed, a U.S. president get impeached for only the third time in history, and sadly, continued violence throughout the country and world. It’s been a very busy year for real.

As I’ve done in years past, I want to take some time out and reflect on the year I’ve had too. There have been many great things I’ve experienced throughout the year, while other stuff I wouldn’t mind forgetting lol. But all in all, it’s important to appreciate how far we’ve traveled together. And BELIEVE ME, it’s been a long journey! Anddd with that said, let’s do it.

Sit back, relax, and enjoy my 2019 year in review!

In Episode 9, The Skywalker saga comes to an end with Star: Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.

While there has been a lot of criticism on how the trilogy concluded, I enjoyed it. Was it perfect? No. And did it suffer because of Episode 8? I’d say so. Even with some of those issues, it manages to be a fun ride with action, humor, and a great soundtrack. I enjoyed how this film reunites the core team, while drawing parallels to the original trilogy.

So what did you think? Did you have a good time with this movie? Or did you see some things you would have liked to change?

They say that in order to behave differently, you have to think differently. Whether that’s looking at things from a different perspective, or approaching things in a brand new way, these types of moves can help you progress more effectively. And whether it’s moving more efficiently, or cutting out the clutter, there’s lots of things we can do to become better versions of ourselves. Basically what I’m trying to say is…maybe we can benefit from a mindset change.

Before we get ahead of ourselves though, WHAT’S UP people? What’s going on? Welcome to the December 2019 Opinions Column. For those that are new to the site, this is where I talk about what’s going on with me and what’s on my mind. For those that are returning, welcome back! With December upon us (wow, where’d the year go?), I thought it would be a good opportunity to talk about how we can shift our mindsets to become better…especially ahead of the new year AND decade (whoa).
