Life tends to surprise you at times. Just when you think you know what to expect, the unexpected occurs. It’s ironic (but not ironic) because it seems to happen all the time. Just when you think you’re cruising, you’re forced to swerve. Yup, I’m talking about curveballs. Sometimes life throws them your way and there’s nothing you can do to avoid them.
Welcome one and welcome all to the Ajaxxx.com April 2015 Opinions Column. This is the spot where I talk about whatever’s going on in my life. For those that’re new to the site, welcome! And for those that’re returning, welcome too! Lol you already know the deals. Andddd with that, let’s talk about the curveballs that life has thrown my way recently.
Well firstly, I was supposed to be back in the recording booth this month. Fast forward to today and I’m still not. For those that maybe don’t know, I had to tear down my old mic booth because I moved. Well, since relocating, I’ve been unable to record. Actually, I take that back. I have been able to record but at a lessened capacity because the space isn’t really built for recording. I was supposed to be back in action by now but for some reason I’m still booth-less. I could elect to record in a studio, but with the equipment already there I’m ok to wait. I’m saying tho, I don’t know for how much longer though…
On a separate front, I’ve really been unable to make enough progress with this new song and video with my krazy schedule. Between traveling, appointments, and other responsibilities, juggling the new single has been extremely difficult. While this isn’t so much a curveball because I saw it coming, I didn’t see three months of it. I came into 2015 like yo, I’m gonna do four videos this year. But with numerous unexpected trips, more drama with engineers, and being pulled in other directions, it hasn’t been easy. I’m taking it in stride though. I’m confident I’ll be back to normal soon where I can work on these things.
Anyway, it’s not ALL drama lol. I’m finally putting the finishing touches on “Broken Dreams”, my next single. Once the single is completely finalized, I’ll return to planning the video. I did a lot for the video last year so hopefully I can reuse what I did from then. So between those things, I’m feeling good about the future. Word em up.
And while we’re on the topic about feeling good, but shifting gears for a second too (pun intended lol)…much props to the Fast and the Furious franchise for an entertaining movie that recently released. Yup, Furious 7 just came out as you know. While there were some extremelyyy fake parts in the movie (don’t get me started lol), it was a fun movie. The tribute at the end for Paul Walker was also done really well. And Wiz…Wiz…what a great song you made. You get extra props for me on that one.
And that’ll do it for me, folks. What’s in store for April? I’m probably going to Philly again. I’ll also be visiting Megacon, finalizing the single for release, and hopefully planning (or even shooting) the video for “Broken Dreams.” A busy and fun month is ahead.
