“Livin’ life in the fast lane
Movin’ at the speed of life and I can’t slow down
Only got a gallon in the gas tank
But I’m almost at the finish line, so I can’t stop now”

– Sly on Bad Meets Evil’s “Fast Lane

Whenever times gets busy, you can do two things: either get bogged down in the chaos or embrace everything that’s happening. I’ve chosen the latter. It can become stressful, chaotic, and even discouraging. But in my opinion, it’s better to keep a positive opinion in times like these. So instead of slowing down, it’s full steam ahead.

What is up my peoples! Welcome one, welcome all, welcome boys, welcome girls. This is the September 2015 Ajaxxx.com Opinions Column. For those that’re new to the site, this is the page where I pretty much talk about everything going on in my life. It gives you a sneak peek behind the curtains to learn about Ajaxxx. For those that’re returning, welcome back! And with that said, let’s talk about allllllllll that’s been going on…and how I’m embracing it.

First of all, I have a new single! Holy crap, right? After talking and talking and talking and talking and talking about it, I’m back at it with my latest song. Over a Santiago Skillz beat, I collaborated with singer Anais Torres and OddeO to bring to you “Broken Dreams.” I mentioned it when I initially shared the song, but this is really one of my most personal songs. It’s where I wanna take my music and a reminder to myself that yo, even though so much of hip hop is trash right now…stick to your guns. It’s a meaningful, powerful testament, and also one of my best (at least to me). If you haven’t heard it yet, or if you wanna hear it again, it’s below:

With the single out, I’ve been exploring the idea of shooting a video for it. I’ve reached out to a few people to get the ball rolling. I definitely feel this song deserves a video. Not only that, I haven’t shot one in a hot minute so it’s about time (like my mixtape, ohhh!) Lol. But yes, I hope to find more clarity with the video idea this month. I hope to have an update on that by the time we have next month’s Opinions Column.

In addition to the single, I’m over here planning a wedding. Oh snap, right? In case you missed it, I recently got engaged. And now, we’re in planning mode. Between coordinating logistics, juggling tasks, and having fun with it, it’s quite the project. It’s cool though. It’s a new experience and one that’ll be worth it. So if these Opinions Columns do get posted later than usual, you know why! Ha!

With the single being released and a wedding being planned, there’s a lot going on at the moment. But as I mentioned above, it’s full steam ahead. I’m not tryna slow down or chill or relax. Yes, I’ll take some moments to chill or else I’ll go krazy…but overall I have a lot to do and I don’t wanna let up.

In addition to everything going on, I’m trying to get back to recording (and producing) this month too. I bought some new equipment that I’ve been working to set up, and it’s coming along. I’m still early in the process but we’re getting there. So yes, not only did I release a new song while planning a wedding, I’m also going to be recording and producing too. Oh yea, I also missed the video part. Lol. Yes, it might seem like a lot, but hey…full steam ahead, right? I got this.

At the moment, I’m doing well. I’m balancing everything and I’m alive. I don’t doubt that there’s gonna be lots more coming up, but I’m ready for it. And you should be too.

That’ll do it for me, folks! Thanks for tuning in to another edition of the Opinions Column. Until the next episode, stay up, stay safe, and hold ya head. Ajaxxx signin out, PEACEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
