Last month, I talked about rites of passages. I talked about how we all go through transitions in our lives, and how it’s those key moments that really change you. Well, this month I cross another one. I got engaged.

We all experience rites of passage in our life. Whether it’s birth, getting your drivers license, or graduating, there are certain moments that serve as transitions. It’s a surreal feeling because on one hand you’re letting go of your past, while on the other you’re embracing an unknown future. It’s essentially growing up, but in a more single-moment, grandiose kind of way. It’s a moment where we say goodbye to yesterday because there’s something new to embrace.
