Life tends to surprise you at times. Just when you think you know what to expect, the unexpected occurs. It’s ironic (but not ironic) because it seems to happen all the time. Just when you think you’re cruising, you’re forced to swerve. Yup, I’m talking about curveballs. Sometimes life throws them your way and there’s nothing you can do to avoid them.

Ever feel like you’re not living up to your potential? Or do you ever feel like it’s too stressful to even compete with “your potential” in the first place? Sometimes I do. I mean, when I was younger the thought of my potential excited me. It’s like damn, there’s more to look forward to? Niceee. But as I get older, I realize it’s a lot of weight to carry. And that, ladies and gentlemen, is the topic of this month’s Opinions Column.
