I am exhausted. There’s absolutely no sugar coating it. I’ve been working the craziest hours and sacrificing mad sleep as of late. It’s the busiest I’ve been in a really long time and it’s krazinesssss (which explains why I’m late with updating the site). Just why am I exhausted though? Read more to find out…
Before I explain (of course lol), WELCOME to the March 2014 Ajaxxx.com Opinions Column! This is the sole spot in the entire galaxy where you can find out what’s going on in my head (unless you count my music of course). For those that’re new to the site, thanks for joining me! And for those that’re returning, thanks for returning! With the formalities outta the way, let me tell you just why I’m exhausted.
…the video. The music video is why I’m exhausted. For the past two months (and especially the last few weeks), I’ve been busting my ass to get my new music video done. Let’s rewind a bit and tell you the story though. Last April, I traveled to NJ to shoot a video for my single “One of a Kind.” After months of delay from the director, I was given the footage to edit. It took a few weeks to get the footage itself, but once I finally did it was on. I got all 70 gigs of video footage to edit into my music video. And that…that is why I’m so exhausted.
The last few weeks, I’ve been staying up ridiculous hours. Last week, I was up til 5am, 5am again, and 7am. This week has been a little better, with me only staying up til 4am instead. It’s been a ridiculous amount of work and I really underestimated how much there was to do. Between editing performance shots, story shots, and also doing the special effects, I’ve had to juggle a lot. And especially since I’ve been learning along the way (it has been a few years since college lol), I’ve had to take some time out to make mistakes too. It’s been quite the eventful adventure, I must say.
At the end of the day though, my music video is almost done. I don’t know the last time I worked this hard and I know it’ll be extremely meaningful when it’s finally complete. As much trash as I’m talking about how I’m so tired, it’s worth it. And when I’m able to share it with everyone, it’ll be awesome. So yes I’m exhausted…but deep down, I’m excited more.
